About Our School

St Catherine's Catholic Primary School is a single form entry school with seven classes occupied by children between the ages of 4 and 11 years. We have a dedicated team of staff working tirelessly together in order to provide our children with quality care and an excellent education.

At the centre of all we do lie the Gospel Values and our Mission Statement is our core driver. We want our children to grow into young people who are loving, kind, forgiving and who know what it is to be good citizens. We strive to grow in them a real thirst for learning and to aspire to be the best that they can be. Our last Catholic Schools Inspection was in 2021 when we were judged to be Outstanding in our Catholic Life.

We work closely with our local schools and with the other Catholic schools in our Deanery. This helps us to share ideas, learn from others and gives us opportunities both as staff and as pupils to work with our peers, developing both professionally and socially.

We have a supportive and committed Board of Governors who monitor and celebrate the work of the school. They encourage developments and improvements within the school and are instrumental in our continued improvement.
