Welcome

During this period of partial closure, this school site continues to be open for provision for vulnerable pupils and children of key workers. Irrespective of any partial closure or collaboration with another school, the safeguarding of all our children remains our top priority. At this time, our school will continue as normal in supporting our vulnerable children and if anyone has any questions regarding this they are asked to make contact with by the following methods:

Telephone - 01903 716039 - during the hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm - Monday to Friday (messages can be left on the school voicemail outside of these times and will be picked up the next working day).

Email - office@st-catherines.w-sussex.sch.uk (checked daily)

Please contact the school if you have any queries.

We hope that our website gives you a flavour of St Catherine’s and that it succeeds in persuading you to come and visit us in order to gain the “whole picture”.

We are proud of our school and the wonderful children within.  A warm welcome awaits all who step over the threshold and this family atmosphere is one of our strengths.  We have a strong mission statement which is at the centre of all we do at St Catherine’s and this constantly reminds us that we are aiming to help each individual grow into decent, responsible, independent people who have high expectations for themselves and sound morals and values.  We believe that these traits are the foundations of living a Christian life.

We aim to create a lifelong love for learning and our curriculum is designed to allow every child to achieve their best.

St Catherine’s has good links with the local community and with the Parish.  Our Priest, Father Carl, is a regular visitor who is a well-known friend to children and staff.

The staff of St Catherine’s are dedicated and have worked incredibly hard; raising standards, improving behaviour and making the environment of the school, both inside and out, warm, friendly and stimulating for all who enter.

We are a learning community and, with that in mind, we constantly strive to achieve the best for the children, parents, governors and staff of St Catherine’s.

I look forward to meeting you should you choose to come and visit us.

With Kind Regards

Mrs Gillian Askham

Headteacher
